Winlevi® is FDA-approved for acne in patients 12 years of age and older.
Unlike traditional acne treatments that focus solely on bacteria or skin turnover, Winlevi® inhibits androgen receptors in the skin. By blocking these receptors, it reduces the production of sebum (skin oil), a key contributor to acne development. This mechanism helps in decreasing inflammation and preventing clogged pores.
- Cleanse: Gently wash and dry the affected area.
- Apply: Using your fingertips, apply a thin layer of Winlevi® cream to the entire affected area twice daily—once in the morning and once in the evening.
- Avoid: Ensure the cream does not come into contact with your eyes, mouth, or mucous membrane.
Note: These are general usage instructions; your specific prescribed directions may differ from above. Be sure to follow the instructions provided by your prescriber. Do not apply to broken, sunburned, or eczematous skin.
